All the staff at Charles Alexander Distribution are wishing good luck to account manager Alex Mushata as he heads to America to play football.

Alex received a four-year scholarship to play football at the University of South Carolina. While playing football at USC, Alex will also be studying business admin.

The scholarship comes after Alex having played for both Leicester City’s and Northampton Town’s youth teams, later featuring in Northampton’s reserve side for two years. After the scholarship Alex is aiming to enter the MLS draft to play in Major League Soccer.

Paul Rowlett, Managing Director at Charles Alexander Distribution, said: “Everyone here wishes Alex the best in this exciting journey. He’s been a fantastic addition to our team and we hope he has great success at The University of South Carolina.

“Although it’s tempting to get him involved in EverythingBranded USA, it’s probably for the best he concentrates on his football and his studying!

“We hope to hear stories about Alex flying up and down the wing in South Carolina soon.”

Alex said: “I’m really excited to carry on my football career in a completely different setting. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new. Hopefully over the next four years I can work hard and get drafted into MLS.

“Everyone here at Charles Alexander Distribution has been great and have fully supported me in this. I’m sure everything I’ve learned here will be very useful during my business admin studies.

“The University of South Carolina has a great pedigree for sport. I’m looking forward to getting involved in the University and watching some of the other sports.”

The University of South Carolina’s soccer team, The South Carolina Gamecocks, have appeared in over 20 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) tournaments since their inception in 1979.
